Following an injury, one of the Cameroonian Lions’ main defenders sobs as he exits the field.

On Friday, January 9, Junior Tchamadeu left the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah field early. In the 23rd minute of the 2025 AFCON quarterfinal match against Morocco, Jaurès Dina Ebimbe took the position of the Indomitable Lions defense.

When an opponent landed on Junior Tchamadeu’s left knee in the thirteenth minute, it all began. The 22-year-old chose to continue playing despite the severe impact after lying on the ground for a few minutes. Sadly, the agony soon overtook him. With tears running down his cheeks, Tchamadeu was forced to leave the field ten minutes later.

Cameroon loses a vital player in their attempt to advance to the tournament’s semifinals as a result of his departure.
